Purpose

There is a current licence of part of the southern half of the 1861 Shed and a Service Level Agreement to contribute to the RHQ offer (tours/viewings/contributing to exhibitions etc on open days). The licence was granted to allow the use of part of the area for storage, but this is not required for the next 8 years (apart from 1 rail track through the building which we will reserve). There is now a long-term project to refurbish another locomotive, so it is appropriate to grant the occupier a lease of the southern half of the shed.

Decision

The Council to grant an 8-year lease.

To add to the RHQ offer for the medium term.
