Purpose

Following the Council’s introduction of
a revised Housing Complaints, Compliments and Comments Procedure
(the Procedure) to comply with the Housing Ombudsman’s
Complaint Handling Code (the Code), the Housing Ombudsman reviewed
the procedure and recommended several amendments to ensure the
Procedure was consistent with the Code.

Decision

To make the above amendments to the
Council’s Housing Complaints, Compliments and Comments
Procedure.

To comply with the revised Housing Ombudsman Complaint Handling
Code 2024 (the Code).

Alternative options considered

The Council has not considered any alternative
options as it is required by law to adhere to the Housing
Ombudsman’s Complaint Handling Code.
