Purpose

Minor amendments to the Council’s
Housing Complaints, Compliments and Comments Procedure, and the
Corporate Complaints, Compliments and Comments Procedure

To the Housing Complaints, Compliments and Comments Procedure, the
inclusion of additional information about the pre-action protocol
for Housing Conditions Claims and requirements of the Regulator for
Social Housing.

Additional information about record keeping

To make some amendments to timescales and responding officers
(including the role of the (new) Housing Complaints Response
Officer).

To make corresponding changes in the Corporate Complaints,
Compliments and Comments Procedure.

The procedures are to be updated as soon as the decision
made.

Decision

To make the changes outlined in the attached
document to provide additional clarification and to make some
procedural changes.
