Purpose

£3,465 (the underspend on the Stronger
Communities Fund for 2022/23) to be assigned to support activities
in the 70th year of Darlington Town Twinning.

The money will be allocated to appropriate Town Twinning activities
and it is envisaged will help the Programme Leaders to secure more
match funding to underpin this programme and initiate more activity
across the Town.

Governance – Deputy Leader to oversee its use in conjunction
with Stronger Communities Portfolio Holder. (Deputy Leader is also
finance lead for the Town Twinning Programme)

Decision

That £3,465 be assigned to support Town
Twinning in Darlington in this important 70th anniversary year as
agreed with the Leader/Deputy Leader.
