The Derbyshire Health and Wellbeing Board works to improve the health and wellbeing of all residents by focusing on prevention and the wider factors that affect health, aiming to reduce inequalities.
It has statutory responsibilities including preparing and publishing assessments of current and future health and social care needs, and developing a local health and wellbeing strategy. The Board also promotes integrated working across health and social care services and responds to plans from the Integrated Care Board.
