That Cabinet Member approves the Market Position Statement - Community and Accommodation- based Support for Older People for 2024/25 for publication.

Reasons for the decision

To support our statutory responsibilities under the Care Act 2014, the Council is required to produce a Market Position Statement, or an equivalent document, which provides evidence and analysis of the adult social care market and sets out how it intends to shape a market that can deliver a wide range of high-quality care and support services that meets the needs of, and is accessible to, people living in the County

Alternative options considered

Do Nothing – the Council could decide not to publish an up to date Market Position Statement. However, to support the statutory responsibilities under the Care Act 2014, the Council is required to produce a Market Position Statement, or an equivalent document, which provides evidence and analysis of the adult social care market and sets out how it intends to shape a market that can deliver a wide range of high-quality care and support services that meets the needs of, and is accessible to, people living in the County.
