Purpose

To seek approval for the appointment of Derbyshire County Council Members to the East Midlands Combined County Authority in readiness for its inaugural meeting.

Decision

RESOLVED:

 

That, subject to the passing
of the EMCCA Regulations to:

 

1)   
Appoint the
Leader of the Council to act as a member of the EMCCA;

 

2)   
Designate the
Leader of the Council to act as the Lead Member on behalf of Derbyshire County
Council;

 

3)   
Appoint the
Deputy Leader of the Council to act as a member of the EMCCA; and

 

4)   
Appoint the
Cabinet Member for Infrastructure and Environment and Cabinet Member for Clean
Growth and Regeneration to act as a substitute member of the EMCCA in the
absence of either of the above members (if required).
