Purpose

The purpose of this report is to seek the approval of the Cabinet Member for the school term dates for the 2025-26, 2026-27, 2027-28, 2028-29 and 2029-30 academic years.

Decision

That Cabinet member:

 

a) 
approves the proposed school term dates for
Derbyshire’s community, voluntary controlled,
community special schools and maintained nursery schools for 2025-26,
2026-27, 2027-28, 2028-29, 2029-30.

 

b) 
recommends that
foundation and voluntary aided schools should adopt the attached schedule
of school term and holiday dates for the years 2025-26 to 2029-30 as this would
provide consistency for schools, young people, and their parents and carers.
