Purpose

We are seeking approval for the repurposing of The Getaway (DCC Short break home for children with disabilities) and The Outback (Early help service for children with disabilities and Assessment) provision to help reduce the need of external costly residential provision for Derbyshire Children with significant disabilities.

RESOLVED:

 

To support the proposal to
repurpose the Getaway from a short break service to an in-house specialist
residential provision and the Outback

from providing universal specialist
services to intensive edge of care provision, as an alternative plan to closure
to make critical financial savings and to provide necessary services for
disabled children.
