Purpose

To seek approval for the publication of the Derbyshire Joint Dementia Strategy 2025-30.

Decision

That the Cabinet Member approves the Derbyshire Joint Dementia Strategy 2025-30 for publication. 

Reasons for the decision

To enable the continuation of a joined-up approach to strategically planning and implementing the Derbyshire Well Pathway for Dementia, ensuring strategic priorities and activities deliver against population need.

Alternative options considered

Option 1: The Council agrees to the Joint Derbyshire Dementia Strategy and commits alongside Statutory Partners to improving services and support for people living with dementia as part of the live implementation plan.

Option 2: The Council chooses not to agree to the Joint Derbyshire Dementia Strategy which is likely to have a detrimental impact on working with key partners to improve services and support for people living with dementia.
