Purpose
To seek Cabinet
approval to accept the Local Transport Plan Highways Capital
Settlement 2025-26.
Decision
RESOLVED to:
1) Approve
the acceptance of the Local Transport Plan Highways Capital
Settlement 2025-26;
2) Approve
the additional schemes outlined in Appendix 2 of the
report;
3) Delegate
authority to the Highways Director, as a Chair of the Highways
Capital Programme Board, in consultation with the Cabinet Member
for Potholes, Highways and Transport for the approval of any
changes to the programme within the tolerance of the overall
budget;
4) Delegate
acceptance of Bus Services Grant funding, Bus Service Improvement
Plan funding and other funding allocations for public transport
from the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) to the
Executive Director Place, in consultation with the Cabinet Member
for Potholes, Highways and Transport;
5) Approve
the extension of the existing contract arrangements for Traffic
Management (Contract reference PLACE 145) to
£8.2m;
6) Delegate
to the Authority’s Section 151 Officer that the relevant
grant conditions be accepted and discharged appropriately;
and
7) Note the
work on-going to access and accept EMCCA regeneration funding as
originally set out in the Cabinet report (minute 64/25 refers) of
13th March 2025 and note that a further report be brought to the
Cabinet to confirm regeneration priorities, updating the
Council’s Regeneration and Commercial Pipeline.
