The Cabinet of Derbyshire County Council decided on 10 September 2026 to approve entering into a Collaboration Agreement with Elvaston Castle and Gardens Trust. The Cabinet also approved the payment of grant funding of £0.50m per annum to the Trust for the period 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2031, totalling £0.250m. This agreement includes a structured programme of community engagement, volunteering, heritage and education activity, increased volunteer participation, and implementation of a fundraising programme.
