The Cabinet decided to recommend to Council the approval of the Housing Revenue Account budget proposals for 2024/25 to 2027/28 on 7th February 2024. This includes approving a 7.7% rent increase from 1st April 2024, setting a balanced budget for the HRA, and maintaining a reserve of £3.5m. The Cabinet also delegated approval to change district heating charges in year to the Chief Financial Officer in consultation with the relevant portfolio holder.
