Following the tender and procurement process for DGLAM Café.
are the successful tenderers. The previous licence for DGLAM café was also with as the licensee. This licence ended 31/03/2026. This
licence will have a start date of 01/04/2026.

The main overarching terms of the licence are as follows: -
Licence term: 01/04/2026-31/03/2029
Licence Period:
Monday-Friday 10:00-17:00
Saturday 10:00-16:00
Licence fee:
Turnover fee: of Gross turnover minus the Licence fee.
Repairs and maintenance: Licensee to insure, repair & maintain and service the licensee’s equipment. And for licensee to repair and maintain all the licensor’s fixtures and fittings referred to in the concession agreement as “loose kit/equipment”

Permitted Use: the provision of the services the Licensee is obliged to provide in accordance with the terms of the Contract, serving the Building only, save that with the prior written agreement of the Licensor, the Licensee may on occasion provide catering to other buildings belonging to the

To enter into a licence to occupy in relation to DGLAM Café (Danum Gallery Library Museum) – Ground floor Café, Danum Gallery, Library and Museum, Waterdale, DN1 3BZ with successful tenderer from procurement process –

Alternative options considered

None. A formal procurement exercise was necessary to ensure a transparent, fair, and auditable approach to the appointment of an operator for the DGLAM Café.
