Purpose
Having an option to enter into a lease enables us to exercise the option at any time up to 22 December
2028. In the meantime we can carry out investigatory works and obtain planning consent. It also allows time for the land that is unregistered to be registered.
The initial option fee is for an option period of up to 3 years. Subject to conditions, this period can
be extended by a further 2 years at a cost of per year.
A key decision is required prior to entering into the lease, the form of which is agreed and set out in Section 2 of the option agreement (including the rent provisions). A further ODR will be required in respect of the installation of the landing lights, which will also need to cover authority to enter into the compound license as set out in Schedule 4 of the option agreement.
