The Executive Director of Place approved the acceptance of £35,000 in revenue funding from the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority's 'Healthier Neighbourhoods and Routes to Opportunities Fund' on 19/08/2026. This funding will be used to deliver walking, wheeling, and cycling behaviour change initiatives in Doncaster schools during the 2026/27 school year. The decision includes entering a letter of agreement with the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority to draw down the funds and deliver the "Walking, Wheeling and Cycling Awards for Schools" and the "Scoot to School Project".
