Decision

To grant xxxxxxxxxx a lease of the land at Friars Gate, Doncaster, for use as a public car park, on the terms set out in this decision record.

Alternative options considered

Direct management by the Council’s Parking Services team — rejected because of the time and cost required to obtain an OSPPO and procure and install parking equipment, particularly given the temporary nature of the arrangement.

Closure pending a long-term strategy for the site — rejected because it would remove a public parking facility, result in lost rental income and create potential site management and security issues.
