Content

That:

a)   
The Dorset County Council (Footpaths 34 and 35,
Portland) Public Path Stopping Up and Diversion Order 2014 be formally
abandoned;

b)   
There will be no refund to the applicant of any
costs paid to Dorset Council associated with the Order.

Reasons for the decision

a)   
The Dorset County Council (Footpaths 34 and 35,
Portland) Public Path Stopping Up and Diversion Order 2014 cannot be confirmed
by Dorset Council due to objections received to the Order. The applicant has
submitted a new application to divert both footpaths, and a new Order was made
in 2022, and was confirmed in 2024. Therefore, there is no requirement for the
2014 Order to be confirmed as the footpaths have been diverted under the 2022 Order.

 

b)   
The applicant has agreed to the abandonment of
the Order with no refund of costs.
