That having considered the proposal, alongside the two
objections received during statutory period of public consultation, to
implement the new speed limit as advertised. 

Reasons for the decision

This section of road has a history of personal injury
collisions. Using the most up to date data available between 1st September 2017
and 31st August 2022 there have been 11 personal injury collisions recorded. (2
fatal, 1 serious, 8 slight). The reduction to 60mph is an initial response by
Dorset Council to the safety concerns on this stretch of road.
