Purpose

The
intention of this Cabinet paper is to consider the expansion of funded
childcare from April 2024 and support our longer term vision of working with
Early Years settings to ensure there is sufficient childcare available for
children in Dorset for working families and those in education or training.

Content

That the approach to the expansion of funded childcare offer
from April 2024 be adopted.

 

Reason for the decision

 

To ensure compliance with statutory duties and any
subsequent related statutory guidance to ensure there was sufficient childcare
for working families.
