Purpose

The
Chief Finance Officer’s powers as a Designated Officer to
approve bids for grant funding and/or other financial assistance to
Government departments and other organisations for projects and
initiatives consistent with Council policies and to enter into any
such agreements and arrangements as necessary to secure such
funding (as set out in the Constitution Part 2 Section G2 paragraph

Decision

The Chief Finance Officer to
sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which sets out the terms
that will apply to the relationship between the Secretary of State
for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (the Secretary of State)
and East Hampshire District Council (the Lead Local Authority)
regarding the administration and delivery of the UK Shared
Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), and the Rural England Prosperity Fund
(REPF). See Appendix 1 for MOU.
