Purpose

The Director of Regeneration
& Prosperity’s powers as a Designated Officer to approve
bids for grant funding and/or other financial assistance to
Government departments and other organisations for projects and
initiatives consistent with Council policies and to enter into any
such agreements and arrangements as necessary to secure such
funding (as set out in the Constitution Part 2 Section G2 paragraph
16).
 

Decision

The Director of Regeneration
& Prosperity to approve entering into a funding agreement with
South Western Railway to access the Customer and Communities
Improvement Fund (CCIF) of £98,000 in order to bridge a gap
in funding arising due to escalating project delivery costs at
Alton Station Forecourt subject to the receipt of future funding
being recorded in the Council’s accounts and any conditions
or financial obligations placed upon the Council being advised to
the CFO (in compliance with Constitution Part 3 Financial Procedure
Rule G140).
