Purpose

The Chief Finance Officer’s powers as a
Designated Officer to approve bids for grant funding and/or other
financial assistance to Government departments for projects and
initiatives consistent with Council policies and to enter into any
such agreements and arrangements as necessary to secure such
funding (as set out in the Constitution Part 2 Section G2 paragraph
16).
 
 
                                               

Decision

The Chief Finance Officer to approve the
submission of an investment proposal to Government (within the
terms of an allocation already made) to set up a rural social
enterprise and undertake other associated activities subject to the
receipt of future funding being recorded in the Council’s
accounts and any conditions or financial obligations placed upon
the Council being advised to the CFO (in compliance with
Constitution Part 3 Financial Procedure Rule G140).
