Purpose

The Chief Executive has delegated
authority to settle matters under Part 2

Section G2 paragraph 4.1 which
states:

 

             
4.1 To authorise, institute, prosecute, defend, compromise, or
adjourn any form of legal proceedings or enforcement functions or
statutory procedure and to make or defend any appeal in criminal or
civil proceedings where such action is desirable to protect the
Council’s interests, subject to advice from Legal Services
and the agreement of the Monitoring Officer as
appropriate.
 
 
 
                                               

Decision

To note that the Chief Executive has approved;

 
The
settlement of the costs arising out of the termination of the Joint
Management with Havant Borough Council (HBC) which have been
recorded in a settlement agreement dated 17 August 2023.
