Purpose
Decision taken in accordance with the
Constitution, Section G3, Officer Scheme of Delegation, Delegations
to Statutory Officers, paragraph 3.12:
“3.12 To be responsible for the
maintenance and operation of the Council’s Constitution. The
Monitoring Officer has authority to make minor amendments and
corrections to the Constitution to ensure that:
3.12.1 legislative references are updated;
3.12.2 it reflects the Council’s
structures and decision-making requirements; 3.12.3 consequential
amendments are made as a result of Council and Cabinet
decisions;
3.12.4 it is clear and unambiguous and
maintains efficiency of operations; and 3.12.5 any other required
changes are made as appropriate.
The Monitoring Officer shall report changes
pursuant to this part to the next available meeting of the Full
Council.
Decision
To approve the amendment to paragraphs 2.4 and
2.5 of the Planning Policy Committee’s Terms of Reference
(EHDC Constitution, Non-Executive Committees, Section E1A) as
follows:
Current wording:
2.4. To agree draft East Hampshire District
Council’s Supplementary Planning Documents prior to public
consultation and any changes required prior to adoption.
2.5 To recommend to Council East Hampshire
District Council’s Supplementary Planning Documents for their
adoption.
Amended wording:
2.4. To consider and make comment on East
Hampshire District Council’s draft Supplementary Planning
Documents prior to public consultation.
2.5 To recommend to Cabinet, East Hampshire
District Council’s Supplementary Planning Documents for their
adoption.
