It was RESOLVED that
Cabinet:
 
Approved the
Community Development Strategy and its associated workstreams,
enabling EHDC to create the conditions for community empowerment
and resilience ahead of LGR.
 
Reasons for the
Decision
 
Sought Cabinet approval for the adoption of
the Community Development Strategy, which sets out East Hampshire
District Council’s approach to neighbourhood empowerment and building community
resilience in
preparation for Local Government Reorganisation (LGR).
 
 
Alternative Options
Considered
 
The strategy has been informed by extensive
engagement with internal services, elected members, and external
partners including Hampshire
County Council, Primary Care Networks, and the
voluntary and community
sector.
