Purpose
1.1 The Chief Executive Officer’s powers
as a Designated Officer to respond to consultations and to make
comments and representations on matters notified to the Council by
third parties including (but not limited to) Government
Departments, statutory undertakers and local authorities, in
consultation with the relevant Cabinet member (as set out in the
Constitution Part 2 Section G2 Paragraph 15) and;
1.2 Cabinet decision on 26th September 2025
which delegates authority to the Chief Executive, in consultation
with the Leader of East Hampshire District Council, to submit East
Hampshire District Council's response to Government's public
consultation on Local Government Reorganisation in the Hampshire and the Solent
area.
