Purpose

Under s.33 of the Localism Act 2011 (the Act)
Councils are responsible for determining requests for dispensation
by Members. The Council’s Constitution, Part 2 Section G
(Officer Scheme of Delegation) and Part 4 Section B (Code of
Conduct for Councillors), has delegated to the Monitoring Officer
the power to grant dispensations for Members allowing them to speak
and vote at a meeting when they have a disclosable pecuniary
interest.

Decision

That the following dispensations be granted to all
Members of the Council to enable them to:

a)            
Consider and determine the Council Tax
base each year;

b)            
Consider and determine the Council Tax
Support Scheme;

c)            
Consider and determine Councillors’
Allowances.
 
This dispensation will take effect immediately and to
remain in place until May 2028.
