Decision

It was resolved that Cabinet:
 
Agreed the principle that EHDC develops its own depot
facility.
 
Delegated authority to the Chief Executive, in consultation
with the Leader of the Council,
 
a)       To carry out a full
option appraisal to include:
i)       
Leasehold,
ii)       
Freehold
iii)       Contracted out
service
 
To identify suitable locations/properties for a new Depot
and Vehicle Workshop up to the value of £1.5m as identified
in the 2024/25 capital program;
 
To develop a detailed, costed business case for the
preferred option for Depot and Vehicle Workshop services within any
agreed capital Budget identified in the Medium Term Financial
Strategy 2025/26;
 
To develop a detailed, costed business case (revenue and
capital) for the operation of the new Vehicle Workshop.
