The Joint Waste Collection Services Committee manages the arrangements for waste collection and street cleaning services under a joint contract with other Surrey districts, boroughs, and Surrey County Council. It also handles other functions delegated by Surrey County Council as outlined in an Inter-Authority Agreement.
The committee is responsible for decisions on service charges and variations (unless they affect stated policy), expenditure from the annual budget, and the establishment of a Contract Management Office. It may also exercise other powers delegated to it by the executives of the participating authorities.
