Resolved that
 
(a)      
the comments made at the Extraordinary meeting of the Council be
noted;
 
(b)      
Appendix A as the preferred final Local Government Reorganisation
Plan for Elmbridge, be submitted to the Ministry of Housing,
Communities and Local Government by 9 May 2025; and
 
(c)        as there are
to be discussions with the Ministry of Housing, Communities and
Local Government regarding the best approach for transition,
including the potential of nominating a lead authority or a senior
responsible officer, it is both appropriate and helpful that
Elmbridge Borough Council is included in these discussions
alongside Surrey County Council and any other Districts and
Boroughs submitting the proposal.
