Purpose

To present to Members the extension to
Elmbridge’s Play Strategy (2026 to 2029) which provides
strategic direction for the improvement of play provision and fixed
play equipment in the Borough prior to the vesting of the new
Unitary Authority.

Content

Resolved that
 
(a)       the Play Strategy
(2026 to 2029) and action plan be approved;
 
(b)      
the 3-year fixed play equipment refurbishment programme for the
play areas be approved; and
 
(c)        authority be
delegated to the Strategic Director (Place and Community), in
consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Culture and
Commercial Strategy, to approve future amendments to the action
plan within the context provided by the Strategy.
