Resolved that
 
(a)      
the comments from the Overview and Scrutiny Committee held on 19
February 2024 be noted;
 
(b)      
the evidence regarding anti-social behaviour in Walton-on-Thames
Town Centre since the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO)
implementation and the results of the consultation on proposals to
renew the PSPO be noted;
 
(c)        having been
satisfied on reasonable grounds that the statutory conditions for
making such an Order were still met, the Elmbridge Borough Council
Public Spaces Protection Order 2024, covering the locations shown
in the Appendices to the report, in accordance with Sections 59, 64
and 72 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 be
agreed; and
 
(d)      
officers be authorised to carry out all necessary steps to
implement the Walton-on-Thames Public Spaces Protection
Order.
