Decision

RESOLVED that

1. the operational and statutory risks associated with maintaining the current reduced staffing establishment be noted;
2. consent be granted to Surrey County Council to establish one additional permanent Highway Safety Inspector post within the Network Safety Team;
3. consent be granted for the recruitment to the post at Surrey County Council’s PS7 level;
4. authority be delegated to Surrey County Council’s Assistant Director of Highways Asset Management to implement the recruitment process; and
5. it be noted that the proposal supports safe and legal delivery of highway services during the transition to East Surrey Council.
