Purpose

To approve an annual renumeration payment to
Enfield foster carers to improve recruitment and retention rates.
This decision will have a positive impact upon children in care and
have a positive impact on foster carers by providing an annual
one-off payment to offset financial pressures in their household.
More children in care will be able to remain living locally in safe
and secure homes. The decision will enhance lifelong links as fewer
children in care will be placed out of borough making it more
likely that they will retain positive contact with their friends
and family and remain attending their local school.
