About

The Overview & Scrutiny Committee holds local decision-makers to account and aims to improve local services for residents and people in the Epping Forest District. It reviews and challenges decisions made by the Council and its partners, investigates services or policy areas of interest or concern, and makes recommendations for improvement.

This committee has broad powers to investigate any area of interest to the local community, not just council services. It enhances the accountability and transparency of local services and decision-making, enabling councillors to represent the views of local people.
