About
The Erewash Audit Committee provides independent assurance on the council's governance framework. It reviews the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and financial reporting, including approving the annual statement of accounts and the annual governance statement. The committee also advises on counter-fraud policies and the local code of governance, and receives updates on external and internal audit plans and progress.
