This Scrutiny Committee has 17 Members who support the work of the Council Executive and the Borough Council as a whole and is made up of non-executive Councillors who raise issues of local concern for debate in public and at meetings of the Scrutiny Committee. In particular the Scrutiny Committee:
· decides the work programme and allocates projects/reviews for Scrutiny;
· will consider crime and disorder matters;
· receives Call-ins and Councillor Calls for Action;
· receives strategic reports, including Performance Management, Best Value and Risk Management; and
· deals with cross-cutting issues or delegates to Scrutiny Committee. More information on the role of the Scrutiny Committee is available in Part 3 of the Constitution – Responsibility for Functions.
