About

The Exeter Harbour Board is responsible for managing the Port of Exeter, which includes the Exe Estuary, non-tidal sections of the River Exe, and the Exeter Ship Canal. The Board comprises six Exeter City Council Members and six external representatives with relevant experience.

Its duties include developing policies for safe navigation, preparing an annual business plan, monitoring compliance with the Port Marine Safety Code, and consulting harbour users. The Board also oversees the appointment of a Designated Person for marine safety assurance and reviews harbour bye-laws. The public can ask questions relating to the Board's business at its quarterly meetings.
