About

The Planning Committee is responsible for non-executive functions related to town and country planning, development control, and tree preservation within the Gedling Borough. It examines development proposals affecting the borough's growth and well-being, and has the power to determine applications for planning permission, listed building consent, and conservation area consent. The committee also handles matters concerning highways, public rights of way, and can institute enforcement proceedings for planning control breaches.
