Purpose

To obtain approval for the Council’s
draft revenue and capital budget and the Dedicated Schools Grant
budget for 2025/26 - 2028/29 to be the basis for scrutiny and
consultation with residents, staff, businesses, partners, trade
unions and schools in line with the Council’s Budget and
Policy Framework Procedure Rules.

Decision

Cllr Lynden Stowe sought approval for the
Council’s draft revenue and capital
budget and the Dedicated Schools Grant budget
for 2025/26 - 2028/29 to be the basis for scrutiny and consultation
with residents, staff, businesses, partners, trade unions and
schools in line with the Council’s Budget and Policy
Framework Procedure Rules.
 
Having considered all
of the information, Cabinet noted the report and

RESOLVED to:
 
1. Approve for consultation and scrutiny the
Budget Consultation document – including the detailed
revenue, capital and Dedicated School Grant budgets for 2025/26
– 2028/29 (Appendix 1).

2. Approve for consultation and scrutiny the
Consultation questionnaire (Appendix 2).

3. Agree that a public consultation be
undertaken on the Council’s draft budget 2025/26 for a 5-week
period between 5th December 2024 and 10th January 2025.
