Purpose

To seek delegated authority to award a
call-off contract to Kingsfield Computer Products Limited for the
supply of Microsoft Surface laptops as part of the laptop
replacement programme.

Decision

In coming to this decision I have given due and full regard to the
requirements of the public sector equality duty contained in
section 149 of the Equality Act 2010 (“the Act”) by
reference to the law itself.
 
Having fully considered all the
available information, I have decided to reject the alternative
options and take the recommended decision to:
 

Award, without
further competition a Call-Off Contract for the supply of up to
1,700 Microsoft Surface laptops during a 1-year period commencing
1/12/2024 to Kingsfield Computer Products Limited, under Lot 2 of
the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) Technology Products &
Associated Services 
2 Framework Agreement (RM6098). The proposed Call-Off
Contract shall be in place for a period of 1 year.

 

2.    
Award, without further competition a Call-Off Contract
for the supply of up to a further 1,000 Microsoft Surface laptops,
subject to the financial restrictions set out in the Resourcing
Implications section of this report. The contract will be awarded
under Lot 2 of the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) Technology
Products & Associated Services 2 Framework Agreement (RM6098)
to the supplier able to demonstrate best value for money in
accordance with the direct award protocol, for a 1-year period,
commencing before 31/3/2025.
