Purpose
Pursuant to an Authorisation from the Cabinet Member for
Children’s Services and Early Years (30/05/2024): Household
Support Fund (HSF) Grant Extension (HSF5) – 01st April 2024
to 30th September 2024
There have been changes to Cabinet since the above Cabinet Member
decision was taken on 30 May 2024. As a result, Cllr Paul McLain,
Cabinet Member for Safeguarding has been consulted in relation to
the decision now being taken.
Having consulted with the Cabinet Member for Safeguarding and Early
Years in accordance with a Cabinet Member decision dated 30th May
2024 and also concluded a planning exercise to determine the most
effective method for providing localised schemes to target the
needs of the most vulnerable:
DECISION
To allocate £812,500 from the Household Support Fund (HSF) to
the six District Councils in Gloucestershire, in the proportions
set out in Table 1 below, for the purpose of them each providing
their own localised schemes to target the needs of the most
vulnerable during the period 1st April 2024 to 30th September 2024
(whilst complying with the grant conditions set by the DWP for
delivery of the HSF grant to provide support with food, energy and
water bills, household items & other essential
items).
