Purpose

The Counter Terrorism and Security Act 2015,
Section 36, sets out the duty to ensure there is a local panel in
place to provide support for people vulnerable to being drawn into
terrorism. The Channel Chair should be a designated officer within
the responsible local authority, with the Chief Executive being
satisfied that they have the required skills and experience, and
capacity and resource to fulfil its requirements.

To appoint Rob England, Assistant Director of Integrated
Commissioning, as Chair of Gloucestershire’s Channel Panel
and confirm Nathaniel Hooton, Deputy Chief Fire Officer as Deputy
Chair.
