Full council record
Purpose
To seek approval from the Cabinet Member for
Children’s Safeguarding and Early Years to:
1. enter discussions with the current contracted provider of Youth
Support Services with a view to extending the term of the current
contract for a limited period of 2-3 months; and
2. in-source to Gloucestershire County Council (hereafter
‘the Council’) the delivery of the services that it had
intended to procure under Lot 1 of the Youth Support Service.
Decision
In coming to this decision I
have given due and full regard to the requirements of the public
sector equality duty contained in section 149 of the Equality Act
2010 (“the Act”) by reference to the law
itself.
Having fully
considered all the available information, I have decided to reject
the alternative options and take the recommended decision to:
1.
enter discussions with the current contracted
provider of Youth Support Services with a view to extending the
term of the current contract for a limited period of 2-3 months;
and
2.
in-source to Gloucestershire County Council
(hereafter ‘the Council’) the delivery of the services
that it had intended to procure under Lot 1 of the Youth Support
Service.
For the reasons
set out in the report.
