Purpose
1 -To modify the council’s contract with SAP (UK) Limited for the
supply of a cloud hosted Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
Software as a Service (SaaS) system by adding the supply and
implementation of a cloud hosted Digital Adoption Platform
known as SAP Enable Now to the services already supplied
thereunder.
2- To award a contract to SAP for the associated implementation
support required by the One Programme, to be procured via the CCS
back-office software Framework Agreement (RM6194).
The proposed contract modification is permissible under
Regulation 72(5) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015
(PCRs) on the basis that:
(a) it will not alter the overall nature of the existing contract;
(b) its value is below the relevant PCRs threshold;
(c) its value is less than 10% of the initial contract value; and
(d) the only previous modification to the said contract was
made in reliance on Regulation 72(1)(a) PCRs.
The Digital Adoption platform, which will be used to create
in-application training and guidance prompts for the SAP
Cloud Platform, shall be supplied during a 24-month
period commencing on 31st March 2024 and ending on
30th March 2026.
As the value of the proposed contract modification is under
£250K there is no requirement for consultation with a Cabinet
Member, however the decision is made within the remit of the
original cabinet decision (see papers below).
2 To award a contract to SAP for the provision of implementation
support services that are required for the purpose of [] integrating
the Enable Now service into the wider SAP environment being
implemented, and upskilling the relevant programme and
business as usual staff in the use of the system in order to use it
effectively to support the wider change the One Programme is undertaking. To be procured via the CCS back-office software
Framework Agreement (RM6194).
