Purpose
To approve the updated Position Statement,
as outlined in Appendix A of this report, on Pupil Product Ratios
(PPRs) from new housing developments.
Once approved this statement will supersede
Gloucestershire County Council’s previous position on PPRs as
outlined within the Interim Position Statement (June 2021).
The updated Position Statement will continue to be used until the
formal review of the County Council’s Local Development Guide
is concluded during 2024/25.
Decision
In coming to this
decision I have given due and
full regard to the requirements of the public sector equality duty
contained in section 149 of the Equality Act 2010 (“the
Act”) by reference to the law itself.
Having fully
considered all the available information, I have decided to reject the alternative
options and take the recommended decision to:
a.
Approve the use of the
Department for Education Pupil Yields
(August 2023) for calculating
education infrastructure developer
contributions from 1
April 2024 as outlined in
Table 1 of this
report.
b.
Approve the
Position Statement on PPRs from new housing
developments included in Appendix A of this
report.
For the reasons set
out in the report.
