Full council record

Purpose

To seek approval for the Integrated Care
System Dementia Strategy (2023-2028)

Background:
The One Gloucestershire vision for dementia is for the whole system
to work together to provide high quality and appropriate support to
people affected by dementia throughout the person’s dementia
journey. The Dementia Strategy (2023-2028) has been developed using
the NHSE Dementia Well Pathway as a framework. Our partners from
across the system including experts by experience, have been
engaged to contribute to the Strategy. This Strategy sets out the
vision for Dementia care across the county for the next 5 years and
is for; people with dementia, carers, health, social care and third
sector colleagues and anyone affected by dementia.

Decision

In coming to this
decision I have given due and full regard to the requirements of
the public sector equality duty contained in section 149 of the
Equality Act 2010 (“the Act”) by reference to the law
itself and also the relevant Equality Impact Assessment, which was
prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Act. Having
fully considered all the available information, I have decided to
reject the alternative options and take the recommended decision
to: Approve the adoption of the Integrated Care System Dementia
Strategy (2023-2028) strategy set out in the Appendix. For the
reasons set out in the report
