Purpose

Pursuant to an Authorisation from Cabinet on
20th September 2023:
Healthwatch Gloucestershire Service

Following the conclusion of a competitive tender process for the
supply of the Healthwatch Gloucestershire Service and having
consulted the Leader of the Council (in his capacity as Cabinet
Member for Public Health and Communities), the Council Member for
ASC Commissioning and the Council Member for Children’s
Safeguarding and Early Years, in accordance with the Cabinet
decision dated 20th September 2023:

DECISION

To award a contract for the supply of Gloucestershire’s
Healthwatch Service to The Care Forum. The proposed contract shall
continue for an initial period of five years, commencing 1st April
2024, with a contract value not exceeding £269,000 per annum
(£1,345,000 over the initial five-year term). The contract
includes an option to extend its term for a period of two years on
its fifth anniversary.
