Purpose

To
ratify a decision to appoint a contractor to carry out essential
repairs and close Wingmoor Farm Household Recycling Centre between
22nd and 29th March 2024.
 

Decision

In coming to this
decision I have given due and full
regard to the requirements of the public sector equality duty
contained in section 149 of the Equality Act 2010 (“the
Act”) by reference to the law itself. Having fully considered
all the available information, I have decided to reject the
alternative options and take the recommended decision
to:
 
1. Ratify a decision
taken by the Executive Director of Economy, Environment &
Infrastructure to award a contract for the provision of
construction and essential repair services at Wingmoor Farm Household Recycling Centre to the
company known as EW Beard Ltd under the GCC Partnering Framework
Major Works (2019) Framework.
 
2. Ratify a decision
taken by the Executive Director of Economy, Environment &
Infrastructure to give approval to close the Wingmoor Farm Household Recycling Centre between 22
January 2024 and 29 March 2024 to enable the required construction
and essential repair works to be undertaken. For the reasons set
out in the report.
